As the number of requests for services has significantly increased as word of mouth directed people to us, we decided to formalize as an organization dedicated to provide help where we could. Lev Echad was created as a generalized chesed initiative which runs the gamut of various needs both short and long-term for medical, financial, emotional or practical support both on an individual level and a community wide scale . Our organization aims to help manage day-to-day life for any community member or visitor – whether temporary or permanent – in any type of distress.

Lev Echad’s team of volunteers enables applicants to access the assistance they need in a caring, professional and confidential fashion.  From the moment an applicant fills out the form online with a specific need, a Lev Echad volunteer contacts them. A team is present for the overseeing of each case to make sure that no detail is left behind.
Lev Echad’s volunteers come from all parts of the Houston Jewish Community. Our volunteers work together caring for the community, giving with compassion, discretion and respect. 

May we all be fortunate enough to be part of the community able to give to others and may we forever and always be on the giving end.
